About the route

This road route takes you through the heart of the island of Brač and up to its highest points. It is ideal for experienced cyclists looking for a serious ride, rewarded with panoramic views and a deep sense of achievement.

From Supetar the route heads to Sutivan, then climbs towards Ložišća and Nerežišća and on to the summit of Vidova gora (778 m) – the highest peak of all the Adriatic islands. The descent from Vidova gora runs through Pražnica, after which the route continues to the coast and returns to Supetar via Postira and Splitska.

The road is mostly rolling, with several steep climbs and descents, and great care is needed, especially in the summer months when traffic is heavier.

Tips and safety

Full bottles and a good breakfast – the climbs on this route come quickly and last long. In summer, start early – because of traffic and heat. Make sure your brakes and tyres are in excellent condition – technical descents demand confidence.
