Brač is one of the most varied islands of the Adriatic. Bathed in sun and sea, yet stony and quiet on the other side. An island of pine trees, olive groves, dry-stone walls and fragrant herbs; an island of history carved in stone, picturesque traditional villages, stunning viewpoints and quiet coves with beautiful beaches waiting to be discovered. And perhaps the best way to discover Brač is by bike!
Blessed with a mild Mediterranean climate and a varied landscape, Brač offers a wide range of cycling experiences – from easy rides along the sea to challenging climbs – and the perfect starting point for all of them is the town of Supetar. Set on the island's north coast, looking across the blue Brač Channel to Split, Supetar is the only town on Brač and its most important port, so for most visitors it is the place where they first arrive on the island.
Old stone streets, the morning stillness of moored boats and the scent of sea and pine make up an authentic Mediterranean mosaic. For cyclists, Supetar has everything they need: easy access, good infrastructure, varied routes and plenty of reasons to stop, explore and enjoy.
Thanks to a dense network of paved and gravel roads, Brač has routes for every level of fitness and interest. The landscape changes quickly but harmoniously: in less than an hour you can go from a calm seaside promenade to a high point overlooking the blue Adriatic, the neighbouring islands or the mountains of the Dalmatian coast.
