About Active Croatia
Active Croatia brings cycling and hiking routes from all over Croatia together in one place. We do not publish everything that exists — we publish what we have processed, checked and stand behind.
What we do
We develop, process and promote cycling and outdoor routes together with destinations and tourist boards. Every route gets a GPX track, elevation profile, description, and surface and difficulty data.
How we check routes
It starts with a destination proposal or our own field selection. The route is then surveyed and its GPX track recorded. Our editors process the text, check the data and align it with the source. Only then is the route published.
Field warnings
When we learn about a closure, roadworks or a hazard, the route receives an active warning shown on the card and in the route detail. If you spot a problem, report it with the button on the route page — every report is reviewed by our editors.
Data and sources
Route and destination descriptions are based on destination brochures and materials. The source is stated on every route so it can be checked. If a figure is not in the source, we do not show it.
