Terms of use
By using the portal you accept the terms set out below.
Purpose of the content
The content of the portal is informative and intended for planning. Routes, maps, elevation profiles and GPX tracks serve to prepare an outing and are not official navigational or safety documentation.
Accuracy of data
We process data carefully and cite our sources, but conditions on the ground change. The check date on each route shows when the data was last confirmed. We do not guarantee passability or unchanged conditions after that date.
Use at your own risk
Outdoor activities carry risk. The decision to set off and the choice of route and equipment are yours. Active Croatia (OUTMORE d.o.o.) is not liable for damage arising from the use of information on the portal, except for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence and in other cases where liability cannot be excluded by law.
GPX tracks and navigation
You may download and use GPX tracks for personal, non-commercial purposes. Bulk downloading, resale or publishing our tracks as your own content is not permitted. Start navigation uses external services and is subject to their terms. Tracks may contain data © OpenStreetMap (ODbL).
Copyright
Texts, photographs and processed route data are protected and belong to Active Croatia or to partner destinations as stated in the source. Any other use requires written permission, except embedding as described in the next section.
Embedding on other websites
You may show published destinations and routes on your website with our embed code, free of charge and without a separate agreement. The content is still loaded from our server, so it is always up to date. Embedded content must not be altered or shown outside the frame we provide, and the source label (Active Croatia and the link to the portal) must remain visible. We may restrict or switch off embedding on a particular website, in particular if it is used contrary to these terms. The provisions on purpose, accuracy of data and liability also apply to routes shown on other websites.
Partners, network members and access credentials
Tourist boards, destinations, hotels, campsites, agencies and other partners use the partner portal, the network member workspace, the map and the API under an arrangement with OUTMORE d.o.o. (contract, offer or order); where that arrangement differs from these terms, the arrangement prevails. Access is personal: you must not share your password, sign-in link or API key with others. If you suspect they have been misused, tell us immediately at info@activecroatia.hr. The terms of use of the map are set out on the “Map data sources” page.
Your reports and messages
When you send a problem report on a route, an enquiry or a message, you confirm that, to the best of your knowledge, the content is accurate and that you hold the rights to the photos and video you send. With a problem report you give us a free, non-exclusive right to publish the photos, video and description on the route page as a route condition notice — we do not publish your name or email. We may decline to publish, shorten or remove reports, in particular if they are inaccurate, offensive or unlawful. How we handle your data is described in the Privacy policy.
External links and partner offers
The portal also links to websites and services of others — Google Maps, YouTube, destination, accommodation, rental and repair websites. They are responsible for their content, services and terms. Partner offers along routes are published based on the partners’ information; you contract the service directly with the partner.
Changes to the terms
We may change these terms as the portal develops. Changes take effect when published on this page. Last updated: 24 October 2026
Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Croatia. Disputes fall under the competent court in Čakovec; if you are a consumer, you retain the protection afforded to you by the laws of the country where you reside.
