About the route
This fairly demanding MTB route leads through some of the most beautiful and most hidden parts of north-west Brač and is perfect for riders looking for a challenge, natural variety and charming stone villages to explore.
The route starts in Supetar and heads to Mirca, where a gravel climb through olive groves begins and then turns into an enjoyable ride on rolling hill tracks. This lively section ends with a technically demanding rocky descent to the striking Franz Joseph Bridge, an imposing Austro-Hungarian structure set in unspoilt nature.
After the bridge comes a technically demanding climb; once you have conquered it, you are rewarded with a gentle ride through beautiful island countryside all the way to Dračevica – a small village where you can refresh yourself on the square (drinking-water tap, shop). After the break, a paved descent leads to the picturesque village of Ložišća and on to Bobovišća na Moru, where tradition, sea and stone architecture meet.
In the second half of the route you ride a rolling gravel track through the fields and dry-stone walls of the interior, with wonderful views, until you reach the coast at Sutivan. The final stretch back to Supetar runs along the sea, past quiet coves and beaches.

Tips and safety
The surface alternates between asphalt, gravel and rock, so only an MTB is recommended. The hardest part is the rocky descent to the Franz Joseph Bridge – technically challenging but visually spectacular. Dračevica is the ideal place for a break – drinking water on the square, shade and a small shop. In summer an early start is recommended; in spring and autumn the route is extremely pleasant to ride. The last ten kilometres or so along the sea are perfect for a relaxed ride.
