About the route
This circular MTB route combines peaceful rural landscapes, gentle hill climbs and cultural highlights, and is ideal for riders who want a more noticeable physical challenge while getting to know the still wild and unspoilt interior of Brač.
The route leaves Supetar and climbs gently, first on asphalt and then on gravel, towards Mirca, after which a more challenging climb on gravel tracks leads to Donji Humac, set in the stony heart of Brač.
From here the route continues to Nerežišća, a village with a long and rich history, followed by a ride on paved roads to picturesque Škrip, the oldest settlement on Brač, known for its archaeological sites and no fewer than two museums.
From Škrip the route descends in steps on gravel tracks back towards Supetar, through olive groves and past dry-stone walls, with lovely views of the sea and the Dalmatian mainland.
Along the route
Donji Humac – a traditional stone village with well-known stonemasons' workshops, ideal for a break and an introduction to Brač's craft heritage.
The Brač bonsai – the famous pine tree growing out of the roof of the Church of Sts Peter and Paul in Nerežišća.
The Museum of the Island of Brač and the Olive Oil Museum in Škrip.

Tips and safety
Bring enough water and sun protection, especially in the warmer months – the island's interior can be dry and without shade. The route is excellent in spring and autumn, when nature is at its best and temperatures are less extreme. Stop in Donji Humac, Nerežišća or Škrip – a perfect opportunity for a local meal, a refreshment or a museum visit.
