Vidova gora
The highest peak of all the Adriatic islands (778 m), with views of Zlatni rat, Hvar, Vis, Split, Biokovo and Pelješac.
Above the south coast of Brač rises Vidova gora, at 778 metres the highest peak of all the Adriatic islands. The views from the top – towards Zlatni rat, Hvar and Vis, or towards Split, the coast, Biokovo and Pelješac – are hard to put into words; they are best experienced in person, especially as the reward for a cycling or hiking climb. From Supetar the way to the summit leads through unspoilt, often deserted countryside, past olive groves, pine forests and countless dry-stone walls.
