About the route
This route leads you through the attractive landscape of nearly endless mandarin plantations and other Mediterranean crops in the southern part of “Croatia’s California”.
The route is neither technically nor physically demanding, so all kinds of cyclists can ride it without worry, regardless of age and fitness.
“The Mandarin” runs through the area south of the Mala Neretva, a branch that leaves the main course of the river in the lovely historic town of Opuzen. It follows easy, technically undemanding, well-maintained gravel roads with little traffic, where you will be safe from the already low traffic of the whole area.

You can buy the mandarins, just as fresh and tasty, from one of the many vendors along the road.
