About the route

This challenging road route starts in Novigrad. Right at the start there is a climb of about 2 kilometres, followed by rolling terrain towards Karin. The route continues to Kaštel Žegarski and the bridge over the Zrmanja, followed by another climb of about 3 kilometres and a descent to Krupa.

Past the monastery in Krupa begins the hardest climb of the route, about 10 kilometres long, followed by a descent to Obrovac and the Zrmanja river. The route then continues over rolling terrain towards the Maslenica Bridge and Posedarje, and back to Novigrad.

Tips and safety

Much of the route follows state roads, so extra care is needed. From Karin to Obrovac the route runs through rural country with far fewer cafés, restaurants and shops, so carry enough food and water.
