About the route

Posedarje is the starting point of this physically demanding MTB route linking Novigrad Sea with Velebit. The first part runs over rolling terrain towards Maslenica and on to Rovanjska, alternating between gravel and asphalt. In Rovanjska begins the climb up Velebit, about 13 kilometres long. After a few kilometres of narrow asphalt lane the route turns to pure gravel, and with every metre gained the views of the sea, islands, peninsulas and bays become more impressive.

After the climb comes a rolling section to Tulove Grede, followed by a descent along the Majstorska cesta road, first on gravel and then on asphalt. After the descent the route follows gravel tracks along the D54 and turns towards the Zrmanja canyon and a viewpoint above the river. It then returns on a rolling mix of gravel and asphalt towards Maslenica and the start in Posedarje.
