Trilj

A neat, well-kept little town on the banks of the Cetina, which grew up beside an important Roman military camp.

The name of Trilj is of Roman origin. After decades of fighting the Illyrian tribe of the Delmatae, the Romans built an important military camp here, beside which today's Trilj grew up over a long and turbulent history.

Modern Trilj is a harmonious, well-kept little town on the banks of the Cetina, surrounded by remarkable natural, historical and cultural riches that you can explore on several cycle-touring routes through the area.
