Veliki Bukovec

A lovely village by the Bednja, reached by the trekking and gravel routes from Ludbreg, where Drašković Castle is a must-see.

A pleasant flat route leads from Ludbreg to Veliki Bukovec, following the varied and colourful landscape of the Bednja valley, with picturesque tree-lined avenues between Kapela Podravska and Veliki Bukovec. The village is home to the 18th-century Drašković Castle, where the Illyrians gathered during the Croatian National Revival, and there is also a bike repair station in Veliki Bukovec.
