Vrlička česma holds a special place in the hearts and identity of the area: a picturesque park around the spring of one of the Cetina's countless tributaries, which has always been the place where the people of Vrlika gather.
The scene inspired the great writer Milan Begović when he wrote the libretto for the most popular Croatian opera, Jakov Gotovac's “Ero s onoga svijeta” (Ero the Joker). A special attraction is the performance of the famous opera beneath the tall trees of the “česma” every summer.
