Paka Fort

A 13th-century fort on a steep hill above the Paka stream, now fully excavated, conserved and a protected cultural monument.

Paka Fort was built in the 13th century on a steep hill above the stream of the same name. It was damaged by fire in the 15th century; today it has been fully excavated and conserved, and is a protected cultural monument of the Republic of Croatia. It is reached from the village of Paka on gravel roads and hiking paths, hidden away in the forest.
