Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Queen of the Holy Rosary, Remetinec

This late Gothic church was built at the end of the 15th and the beginning of the 16th century, and many historical tales are attached to it. The most intriguing claims that a monastery of the Knights Templar once stood on the site, for which there is archaeological evidence. For its historical, architectural and artistic value – notably its altarpiece, now kept in the Museum of Arts and Crafts in Zagreb – the church is a protected cultural monument.
