The most “maritime” of all the Neretva municipalities, Slivno stretches along the coastal part of the valley, from the left bank of the river mouth all the way to Klek near Neum, on the border with Bosnia and Herzegovina. This geographically varied area boasts a beautiful sandy beach near Blace, the remains of the Smrden grad fortress and wonderful views of the Pelješac Peninsula and the blue Adriatic. Thanks to its coastal character, Slivno has the densest range of accommodation and restaurants.
